Language Revitalization & Cultural Preservation
We support efforts to revitalize, protect, and celebrate Indigenous languages and cultural knowledge.
We support efforts to revitalize, protect, and celebrate Indigenous languages and cultural knowledge. Through documentation projects, community-led initiatives, and creative learning tools, we help ensure that ancestral teachings are passed down, honored, and alive for future generations. Our approach is community-driven, culturally grounded, and focused on long-term continuity.
As the lead researcher behind the Tutelo-Saponi-Monacan Living Dictionary, Dr. Marty Richardson supports Indigenous language revitalization through collaborative, community-centered efforts. His work uplifts the voices of language keepers and strengthens the intergenerational transmission of knowledge.
Our language preservation services include:
Developing culturally relevant curricula and teaching materials
Writing and managing grants for language revitalization initiatives
Supporting new word creation and expanding grammar resources
Documenting language through audio, video, and multimedia formats
Partnering with other speakers and learners on shared preservation projects
Every effort is guided by respect, relationship, and the belief that language is more than communication—it's a vessel for memory, identity, and belonging.
